About scope of practice
This training does not make a stylist a clinician and does not confer any right to diagnose or prescribe treatment. Its purpose is that you see more, understand what you are seeing, and know when a client needs a doctor. Scope of practice varies by country. In my experience, this is exactly what raises a client's trust the most.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a medical qualification?
- No. The programme is built specifically for hair professionals without a medical qualification: we cover what you can assess and do within your own scope of practice, and when a client needs to be referred to a doctor.
- Will I be able to diagnose after this training?
- No. The training gives you assessment and recognition skills, not the right to diagnose or prescribe. That boundary is deliberate, and we cover exactly where it lies.
- Do I need my own trichoscope?
- No, trichoscopes are provided. We also discuss separately what is worth buying for a salon and what is not.
- Can a whole salon team be trained?
- Yes, and this is the most common format: I come to the salon, or teach the team as a separate group, using examples from your own practice. Scope and dates are agreed together.
